A vast expanse of green located right in the middle of our busy city, Benjakitti park is the perfect place to relax or get some exercise. Busy during the early evening, when the locals pour in to run or cycle after their work day, the mornings and afternoons are generally the best times to go, depending on what you prefer.
You can rent a boat for just 60 baht for 30 minutes, which means you can row it to the middle of the lake to watch the sunset. Bicycle rental is also available for just 40 baht an hour, with a separated bicycle lane alongside the running path making it much safer to cycle with little interference. On the west side of the park there are a few playgrounds, some basic exercise equipment and a meditation area. Benjakitti is a relatively quiet park compared to Lumphini with it just having mainly sitting areas and no aerobic classes, making it the perfect place to really get away from the congestion.
Benjakitti park is only a short walk away from Centre Point via a gate at the bottom of Sukhumvit Soi 10. Just ask our front desk staff!
If you are a keen runner, this park has a running path of around 2km which tracks the edges of the lake. They also sell fresh coconuts just outside the park to help you feel refreshed after your run. Just steps away from the park is the retro live cafe located offering a better viewpoint back over the park.
